1987 Leaf 219 Barry Bonds RC BGS 9.5 GEM MINT POP 33 NONE HIGHER Pirates. Short of Babe Ruth, this guy right here is the GOAT.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. This is the 1987 Leaf rookie of Bonds, the Canadian Donruss, with English and French on the back. The card is graded BGS 9.5 GEM MINT. It has 9.5 GEM MINT centering edges and surface with grade 9 MINT corners. Between printing and the back background this card is very condition sensitive. There are JUST 33 BGS 9.5 (POP 33,) with NONE higher. There are NO copies I see in the registry WITHOUT at least one 9 subgrade so this is AS GOOD as any graded copy.

As long as the hobby keeps valuing the high end of grades and of players this card is safe. There is only upside while we wait for the Hall of Fame to do right.
